GP Respiratory Clinic
The Respiratory Clinic supports people of all ages with respiratory symptoms to access a face-to-face respiratory assessment and receive immediate support in management of their illness including prescriptions for any medication recommended by the Doctor.
If you can’t see your regular GP, The Respiratory Clinic can provide a face-to-face assessment and testing (including for COVID-19), and immediate support for anyone with COVID-like symptoms. COVID-19 PCR testing is available for people who are unwell as part of a doctor’s appointment. We do not provide COVID-19 testing for people without symptoms.
Services are for anyone with respiratory symptoms, including children, with or without a Medicare card, at no cost.
Respiratory Symptoms include:
- Fever
- Chills
- Cough
- Sore Throat
- Runny/Stuffy Nose
- Shortness of Breath
- Loss of smell &/or taste
- Fatigue
- Weakness
- Headaches
- Aches and pains
- Vomiting &/or Diarrhoea
- Exacerbation of Asthma/COPD/Hayfever
What does it cost?
Services are available to people with or without Medicare. There are no out of pocket fees.
We are please to be part of the Victorian Government’s response to COVID-19, in partnership with North Western Melbourne PHN and the Victorian Department of Health.
Who do we see?
We see children and adults of any age who have symptoms of COVID, including patients who have tested POSITIVE to COVID for assessment and treatment including prescriptions for antivirals if the criteria is met.
What is the process?
We ask that you call reception (Wyndham: 9290 9898 or Hoppers: 9974 3255) when u arrive in the car park. Reception will explain the process. Please remain in your car until you are advised otherwise.
You will be assessed by our Staff over the phone. The Nurse may come out to your car to perform tests including oxygen levels, temperature and COVID-19 testing if required.
Next the Doctor will then assess and examine you.
We will provide written discharge within 48 hours to the patients regular GP following management of immediate respiratory illness.
How do I get my results?
PCR test results will be sent to you via SMS directly from the lab, usually within 48 hrs. If you have had a PCR and not received the result after 72 hrs please call us.
The choice of test used depends on a number of factors including availability and can not be guaranteed.

We prefer patients to pre book an appointment through our online booking system.
At the moment we can only accept a limited number of walk-in patients.
What do I do if I test positive?
If you test positive, isolate immediately.
